The inquiring minds and market approach of LDL's biologists, biochemists, vets, biotechnologists and technical assistants are the backbone and driving force of LDL.

Since 1999, biotech company LDL has been developing and producing test kits in Germany for use in veterinary medicine which are in demand all over the world. They include immunological assays (ELISA) and molecular biological tests (PCR and real-time RT-PCR) for the identification of pathogens encountered in veterinary medicine.

Concentrating on livestock control, LDL also conducts research into future techniques such as multiplex-PCR and chip technologies.

Quality standards

The biochemical, immunological and molecular biology techniques on which LDL's products are based are all well established. Furthermore, LDL has the necessary S1 and L2 approved laboratories. And it has been certified to handle pathogens in accordance with the German Infectious Disease Control Act and the Animal Pathogen Ordinance – and also granted S1 approval for genetic engineering work. LDL operates to high standards of quality meeting GMP and GLP guidelines.
In addition, all processes are DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 certified.
