Go Multiplex! LDL has launched VIROTYPE® BTV Plus – the first real-time Multiplex RT-PCR test kit approved by the Friedrich-Loeffler-Institut (FLI).

VIROTYPE® BTV Plus reliably detects all known serotypes of the Bluetongue virus (BTV) and also separately detects the European BTV serotype 8 (BTV-8) in a single PCR run. Additional reliability is provided by internal amplification and extraction monitoring. The test is so sensitive that blood samples can be analysed in pools comprising up to 10 individual samples.*
